Hey There, Melinda!
Can you believe the wait is almost over? In just a few short weeks, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. and getting your first glimpse of Cinderella Castle all dressed up for
The World's Most Magical Celebration –– you must be getting so excited! Since you'll be checking in soon, now is the perfect time to finalize those last-minute planning details before you arrive. Be sure you've booked your theme park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system and if you haven't already done so, I recommend making a few
advance dining reservations during your visit. Enjoying a table-service meal is a great way to relax and get some space from the crowds during a long day, especially during the weeks around Spring Break and Easter when the parks can be busier than normal. Even if your plans change and you decide to cancel those reservations, it's nice to have them in place –– just be sure to cancel more than 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellations fees.
One of my favorite things about staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is that you don't have to stress about getting to and from Walt Disney World theme parks –– there are complimentary transportation options to all four parks, water parks, and Disney Springs from each hotel. To get to EPCOT from
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll need to jump on the Monorail and get off at the Transporation and Ticket Center (it's the very next stop). From there, you'll transfer over to the
EPCOT Monorail line which will take you directly to the park, right by the main entrance. For Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, head to the bus stop at your Resort for
bus service to the park. If you're planning to take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry or
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours (two perks that are exclusive to Disney Resort Guests), just keep in mind that buses begin running about 45 minutes before the park opens and service continues until an hour after the park closes.
Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question, Melinda. I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with pixie dust from beginning to end!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
