We'll be staying at the Contemporary in December and had stayed in 2007, and noticed we could have walked to the Magic Kingdom entrance instead of always using the monorail. Could you tell me how long a walk it is?

    Peggy,
We have taken this walk and it's really only about 5-10 minute. If you have toddlers tagging along it might add on a few minutes. There is a designated path. This may not be quite as pleasant on a really hot day. We walked it in the off-season.

It was very convenient as it did save a lot of time.

I'd recommend walking to the Magic Kingdom and taking the monorail (if leaving before the crowds) back to the resort. The Contemporary is the first stop on the return trip. Have fun!
