We are staying at the Contemporary in December w/ 3 little ones - 1st trip. . Can you tell me approximate travel times to each of the parks and DTD? Is there a way to avoid buses or can you tell me if it is feasible to take a double stroller on the buses?

    Hi Kim!

Disney's Contemporary Resort is a great resort because of it's proximity to Magic Kingdom.  It is just a short walk (5-7 minutes) or a monorail ride (about 10 minutes) away!  Epcot will take about 15-20 minutes (because of transferring at the Transportation and Ticket Center), and Disney's Hollywood Studios (15 minutes) and Disney's Animal Kingdom (20-25  minutes)are just a short bus ride away!  Downtown Disney will take about 15-20 minutes as well by bus.

We've traveled with a double stroller since 2007, and have not had any issues using it with the busses.  Just make sure that the little ones are out of the stroller prior to boarding and is ready to be folded.  Some drivers allowed us to use the wheelchair access to load our stroller (so we didn't have to fold it, but again, it had to be unoccupied), and others had us fold it prior to boarding.  If the bus is crowded, I'd suggest having it folded and ready to load.

    Have a magical vacation!
