    Hello! We will be staying at the Contemporary in Aug. for our son's 9th bday. We are ordering the bday surprise for the room w/cake. chef mickeys booked up unfortunately but ohana for bkfast. We'll get the bday button - but any other recommendations-thanks

    Hi Mary!  The Contemporary is our family favorite - conveniently located and we love to watch the monorails!  We first stayed here when my oldest was 10 and he vowed he would one day drive a monorail!  So many memories at this resort!

    If you'd like to dine at the Chef Mickey's, I would suggest you keep trying to secure a reservation.  This restaurant has a cancellation policy so guests are likely to cancel their reservation if they no longer need it.  You may get lucky!  I will say that Stitch is a ton of fun at 'Ohana - this is also a great choice!

    I'd also like to recommend the Pirate & Pals Fireworks Voyage.  This will be a great way to complete his special day.  Many guests will also stop by The Pirates League earlier in the day so they can transform themselves into a pirate - it makes the voyage so much more fun! 

    I hope your son as the most magical birthday ever!  Be sure he wears his birthday button proudly!
