Staying at the Contempoary is there a place that my baby can crawl besides our room? What to do with kids that are up at 600 am and ready to go ?

    Hello, Roseann,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel about Disney's Contemporary Resort. I think you'll really enjoy staying there, especially with its large rooms and close proximity to the Magic Kingdom.  At this resort, there is actually a large area on the second floor where the Convention Center is located.  Outside of the meeting rooms, there is plenty of wide open space and seating.  My husband and I have often gone here to take a break from the crowds and summer heat.  We grab a coffee from Contemporary Grounds and then relocate to the second floor.  Even though there may be meetings happening, we have still found it to be a quiet spot, so I'd think it a great location for a crawling baby.

When our children were younger, they ended up pretty tired out after a day at the theme parks, so our normal early risers slept pretty soundly until we woke them up.  However, if they did wake up early, we had a few little toys with us that they played with.  In fact, we let them each pick out a small toy as a souvenir to keep them occupied.  And of course, there are several Disney Channels available with Disney cartoons and videos about the theme parks if you really need a back-up plan for an early morning distraction when not everyone is awake yet.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
