Well hello there, Michelle. Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by with your question. Food is most definitely one of my priorities when visiting the Disneyland Resort, so I'm right there with you. It's my pleasure to help and I'm even more delighted to help out another Michelle.
I'm so excited to hear that you will be staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel during your magical stay - and even better,
club-level. Indeed there are many additional magical benefits to staying on property, including the
Preferred Access Reservations for dining. Your best bet is to reach out to a Cast Member at the Disneyland Hotel for help securing a table at the enchanting Blue Bayou Restaurant. They can be reached by calling +1 (714) 778-6600 and I recommend calling as soon as you possibly can. Keep in mind that these reservations are limited and not guaranteed.
If you're not able to secure a reservation in advance, don't lose hope. I do have another suggestion for you. There is also an option to try to join the walk-up list on the day of. To do this, you will open the
Disneyland app and search (located at the bottom of the screen, second icon from the right) for "Blue Bayou Restaurant." From the next screen, you can tap on "Join Walk-Up List" to see if there is any availability. A quick tip: you will need to be near the restaurant to use this feature and I strongly recommend arriving before the restaurant opens to give you the best chance.
Another benefit that I make sure to put to good use when staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is the
Early Entry benefit allowing you to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before regular park opening. I use this time to cross off any highly desired attractions for the day. For me, this includes Peter Pan's Flight and Space Mountain in Disneyland Park and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! in Disney California Adventure Park.
I hope this is helpful as you plan out your magical stay, Michelle. I'll be sending all the pixie dust your way hoping you are able to dine under the glow of the lanterns and fireflies. If you have other questions as you continue to plan, please come back to visit us.
Happy planning!
Michelle
