We are staying at Ft. W CG. The park we want to go to has the extra hours (MGM) on 09/20. Will we be able to take the bus back to the Magic Kingdom and then the boat back to the campground OK if the MK doesn't have the additonal hours or how do we return?

Hi Jennifer! You will really enjoy the Extra Magic Hours in the Disney parks. The crowds are most likely less making the lines much shorter then during the regular operating hours. No one complains about those perks!

So you don't get confused when you arrive and start heading out to the parks, the old MGM park is now called Hollywood Studios. I have to admit that sometimes I still slip up and say MGM but all signage and all cast will refer to this park as Hollywood Studios so you can start practicing now!

The best way for you to return to the Fort Wilderness campgrounds after a night at the Studios will be to catch the Fort Wilderness bus. There will be good signs to show you where to go and the buses will come and depart about every 15-20 minutes. They will drop you off at the main bus area of the campgrounds and from there you can catch an internal bus to your cabin or campsite loop. I stay in Fort Wilderness often and this is very easy and very convenient.
