We are staying at CBR and have our own car, how much time will it take to get to other resorts and parks? Also what kind of clothing do I need to pack for December? Is it warm enough for short sleeves and tank tops at all? Thank you so much-love the panel!

    Hello Chrissy,

I always have a rental car when visiting Walt Disney World and I find travel time from any WDW Resort to Parks, Downtown Disney and other WDW Resorts to be anywhere from 10-20 minutes (tops).  If you have a GPS system or a reliable map (you can get one from your resort when you check-in) it really is quite quick and easy to travel from place to place.  These times may be a little more of course if there is heavy traffic, but in most cases I would say no more than 20 minutes for the farthest away point on your itinerary within Walt Disney World.

December weather can be a little tricky as I learned just this month while I was there.  I remembered how warm it was last year during the same time and experienced quite colder temperatures than what I was used to from last year in December.  I did pack some warmer clothes thankfully and although the days were quite warm where tank tops, t-shirts and capris were fine, I found that the evenings did get quite chilly and required longer pants, warmer shirts (sweaters) and/or a light jacket.  I would count on it being lovely during the days (I even swam at the resort pool every day with my daughter which was lovely) and bring some warmer clothes for the possibly chillier evenings.  Expect the Normal Highs of 73F and the Normal Lows of 52F, but be prepared for the possible Record Highs of 90F or Record Lows of 20F. I hope I have helped you and I wish you a most magical vacation at Walt Disney World.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
