Staying at CBR - we want one night to be flexible for dining - thinking we might explore the Polynesian and eat there - but don't want an ADR. If we drive there for an early dinner, will they let us park there without a reservation in hand? Thanks!

    Hi Christine,

Thanks for writing to me!  Yes, absolutely, you can park at the Polynesian (or any resort for that matter) if you'd like to explore the resort, grab an impromptu meal, watch the fireworks from the beach, etc.  When you arrive at Caribbean Beach Resort, the Cast Member who helps you check in will ask if you have a car.  S/he will then give you a paper indicating that you are a resort guest to keep on your dashboard.  When you arrive at "the Poly", simply tell the Cast Member at the security booth what you intend to do (eat, explore, etc.) and you'll be directed to the self or valet parking area.

I'm a big fan of Kona Cafe.  I've had an early dinner there several times without Advanced Dining Reservations.  I'm generally not a huge fan of Disney World coffee, but the coffee at Kona Cafe is outstanding, and many agree, the best at Disney!

    Have a wonderful visit!

    Tanya

P.S. Depending upon the time of year you are visiting, even an early dinner at the Poly can be tough to secure without a reservation.  I recommend making one "just in case", and if your plans change, you can always cancel.  This way, you are assured a table.
