Hello there, Katherine! It's so nice to chat with you again - and this time, we get to visit my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel in all the land!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort captured my heart with its laid-back feel and island vibe. But it was visiting the pool, especially the shipwreck splash area for the kids, that really won me over.
The shipwreck is indeed designed for children under 48" tall, and the lifeguard on duty will enforce the height restriction with older kids. But as a parent of a little matey, you'll absolutely be right there to supervise your daughter while she's playing in this area. You can think of it as more of a really wet playground than a pool. There are slides, spray jets, and a giant bucket that dumps water over the whole scene every few minutes or so. The deepest water is probably only a foot or two, so you won't really even need a float, but feel free to bring one. There are also children's lifejackets available for free at the main pool.
Plenty of people have posted pictures and videos of this area. It might help you to do a quick internet search and see what it looks like. That's what I did before we visited, and it really helped to know what to expect. Just search "Caribbean Beach Resort kids pool," and you'll get lots of results to peruse before you go.
I hope this helps you and your family have a splash-tastic time at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Katherine. Swim on by and see us again if you have more questions!
Have a magical day,
Kathy K.
