We will be staying at CBR in December! We will have our own vehicle. Would using our own car save time and headache or would u suggest park transportation? Thanks for all you do!

    Cody:

There are lots of positive points to using Disney transportation while on vacation at the resort: you can relax and let someone else do the navigating, no one has to be a designated driver in your party if you choose to imbibe, and you get dropped off much closer to the entrances of the theme parks than if you drove and parked.

With all that said, though, our family typically drives to all of the theme parks if our only option is bus transportation with the exception being the Magic Kingdom which is always faster by any form of Disney transportation including a bus. We choose to drive because 1) we're not first-timers (Disney has minimal directional signage) 2) I like to leave the parks by lunch time and find fewer buses running and 3) I prefer not to wait at the bus stops when I could be driving.

With a resort the size of Caribbean Beach, the bus makes multiple stops. Although this only adds about 5 to 7 minutes usually, I find myself wanting to save time by driving my own car. Most of all, because you will already have your own car and parking at the theme parks is free for resort guests, I recommend driving to all of them except for the Magic Kingdom.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
