We are staying at CBR 09/20 to 09/26 with children 9 & 10....we want to be within walking distance to main pool and restaurants. Reservations are for pirate themed room, are these rooms centrally located? Advice for requesting specific area?

    Hello Shauna!

The new pirate rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort are very cool! Unfortunately they are located in only one section of the resort - Trinidad South, which is also farthest away from Old Port Royale where the main pool, restaurant and gift shop are located. It is possible to walk from this group of buildings, but there are definitely closer options.

If having a pirate themed room isn't an absolute must, and you would rather be closer to Old Port Royale, I would suggest booking a preferred room in Martinique or Trinidad North. The cost of a preferred room is the same as the cost of a standard pirate room. The non-pirate rooms are decorated in a beachy theme with bright colors and a very subtle Finding Nemo theme in the wallpaper border. If you visit the resort page at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/caribbean-beach-resort/ and click on "Rooms" along the bottom of the picture you can see what the rooms look like.

If you decide you want to stick with the pirate rooms, you can take advantage of the internal resort bus that makes rounds throughout the resort.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
