Hello, we are staying at the Carribean and interested in going to Chef Mickeys breakfast one morning. How long will it take to get there and what is the best way to get there? I heard we may need to take the bus then the monorail.

    Hi Jennifer!

I recently toured the Caribbean Beach Resort, and was very impressed by the newly themed rooms.  The main pool (especially, the "pirate-themed" pool equipped with canons, slides and waterfalls) was amazing!

To get to the Contemporary Resort for breakfast at Chef Mickey's using Disney Transportation, you would take a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  You could then either transfer to a resort monorail to the Contemporary, or do what we do, and simply walk over to the resort from the bus stop at the Magic Kingdom.  There is a lovely path aptly titled, "Walkway to the Contemporary" which will take you about five minutes.  When you get to the bus stop, the monorails are actually the opposite direction of the Contemporary, so walking over to them, waiting for the next one, etc. will take you longer than strolling over.

I would allow about forty-five minutes to an hour from the time you leave your room.  That's probably a bit generous, but you can always check out the great shops at the Contemporary while you are waiting for Mickey to cook up the perfect eggs!

    Have a wonderful trip!
