We are staying in at the Carribean Beach Resort December 1st. We booked a room with a king bed. How do we find out if this room is one of the newly updated rooms? Thank you!

    Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can imagine the excitement in your household as you plan your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Currently, you will receive your room assignment the day of check-in at your resort hotel. If you do Online Check-in, you have the option of receiving a text notice to your phone. The room number will be in that text notification. Once you get the room number, you can check to see if the room is one of the newly renovated ones and you can call the resort to request a different room if it is not.

On our last visit, we did online check-in and received our notification that the room was ready before we actually got to the resort. We had requested a first floor room at the Contemporary Resort in the Garden Wing but received a third floor room. I called the number in the text message and spoke with someone at the resort. They found a first floor room for us. We just had to wait for a cast member to clean the room. By the time we arrived, we were fortunate that the room was ready.

I know you will enjoy the Caribbean Beach Resort! I love the jogging trail and Shutters at Old Port Royale

Since you are going in early December, I do hope you have considered Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. When I went this past December, it felt like we were standing in the middle of a wondrous dream as Princess Elsa transformed the castle into a sparkling ice palace. The magic is simply priceless.

    Happy planning!
