Staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and wondering what building to request on reservation? Which buildings are close to food court/reception etc and which have been recently refurbished? Only 390 days to go! Yay!

    Hi Victoria,

It is always so great to hear that guests are really thinking ahead and planning their trips well in advance so that they can create as much magic as possible and hopefully be stress-free on vacation. It may be 390 days out, but it will be here before you you know it.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is currently going through room refurbishments. This began this summer and is expected to be complete sometime in the spring of 2015. Keep in mind that no official date of completion has been announced or the order in which buildings are renovated. However, it should be done in plenty of time for your trip which appears to be about a year away.

I would suggest requesting either building 25 or 26 in Martinique or building 31 in Trinidad North. These buildings are the closest to Old Port Royale Centertown, where the food court, Shutters (table service dining), and the retail shop are located. Fuentes del Morro (main pool) is also located just adjacent to Old Port Royale Centertown. A short distance across a bridge is Jamaica and Aruba and buildings 51 in Aruba and 45 in Jamaica are the closest to that bridge.

If you are hoping to be closer to the front desk area, this is located in the Custom House. Building 11 in Barbados is the closest to that. There is an internal shuttle that runs between the different bus stops within the resort so that you don't have to walk a longer distance to the dining, pool areas or front desk. Keep in mind, though that requests cannot be guaranteed and are based on availability upon check-in.

Have a wonderful time and feel free to stop by with more questions as your planning continues.
