Hi, we will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort starting November 30th 2019. Do they have freezer space available in the mini fridges? Also, are there microwaves available for guests to use in the food court? Thanks!

Hello Emily! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am so excited that you'll be staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort during your Walt Disney World vacation. It's one of my favorite resorts and the one I frequent the most. I just love everything about it. The lush tropical feel as you walk around, calypso music and hammocks on white sandy beaches, it really can't get much better.

Inside the rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort there are, indeed, mini fridges. However, these mini fridges do not have a small freezer compartment. You can find ice machines, for your convenience, located on every floor of the resort and at the food court. Speaking of the Centertown Market, I think you'll be happy to know that there are several microwaves and toasters available for use there. The Centertown Market opens at 6:30 am daily. If you get a chance to have breakfast there, I highly suggest the new Avocado Toast on sunflower multigrain bread layered with plenty of avocado, cured tomatoes, oranges, pickled onions and miso-sriracha mayo. It's a really delicious take on breakfast. A few months ago I traded out my standard Mickey Waffle, which you can't go wrong with by the way, for this and I did not regret it. I suggest taking your breakfast outside and eating in the Banana Cabana bar area. The bar isn't open yet so typically there is no one out there and it's a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and dine.

One more thing to keep in mind. If you are wanting to keep things cool at the parks during the day the rules have been updated as of May 1st, 2019. Guests are no longer permitted to bring in loose ice in their backpacks or coolers. I suggest grabbing some of those reusable gel ice packs and icing them down in your room each night.

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Enjoy your stay!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
