We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. Is there an elevator ? One of our party has an injured leg ,we'll be renting a wheelchair. Can we contact the Resort and ask for a ground floor unit if they don't have them?

    Hey Edwina!

Welcome back to planDisney. I am thrilled to answer another one of your great questions. Congratulations on your upcoming Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort stay.

Edwina, the Guest room buildings in Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort do not have elevators. Each building is two stories high, but with someone in your party having an injured leg, I highly encourage you to request a room on the first floor. Because of your situation, you should have no problem having a Cast Member grant your party a ground-floor Guest room.

For the comfort of your party, I also encourage you to request a building near one of the bus stops, Edwina!

Please rest assured that although there are no elevators, all ground floors, main buildings, and transportation options (including the Disney Skyliner) at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are wheelchair accessible.

I hope this helps answer your question. Please visit us again if you have any additional questions. We are always hEAR to help you!

Wishing you a Practically Perfect Vacation,

    Priscila
