If I am staying at Caribbean beach resort can I do the dock side fishing at Port Orleans?

Hey there, Jackie! Welcome to planDisney!

There truly is something for everyone at Walt Disney World Resort. Along with the four theme parks, two water parks, and numerous dining and shopping options, each hotel offers its own activities and recreational opportunities, allowing you to create a vacation itinerary that is practically perfect in every way.

I’m happy to report that all guests can enjoy dockside fishing at Port Orleans - Riverside, not just those staying at the resort. Fishing gear is available for rent at the Fishin’ Hole at Ol’ Man Island, which is located behind the resort’s main lobby building. You’ll also find dockside fishing at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Remember, fishing at Walt Disney World is catch-and-release only!

You can find more information about dockside fishing and fishing excursions, including those offered at Caribbean Beach Resort, here

If you need assistance navigating from Caribbean Beach Resort to Port Orleans - Riverside, be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app and take advantage of its step-by-step directions feature. At the time I’m writing this, the app suggests taking the Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and then taking a complimentary bus from Hollywood Studios to Port Orleans - Riverside. The travel time is currently estimated at 55 minutes, which may change based on the day you're visiting and the time you're traveling.

I hope this information is helpful, Jackie. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have any other questions. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
