We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort in a couple weeks, where would be a good place to go for breakfast before heading to Hollywood Studios? What time would we leave our resort to get a bus for our 8:35am Chef Mickey's reservation?

    Hi Lindsay,

Welcome to planDisney! I am thrilled to hear that you have an upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort holds special memories for my husband and me. It was one of the first resorts we visited after getting married. Now that it has access to the Disney Skyliner, you will be able to explore more dining possibilities! My top suggestion would be Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck dressed in their artistic best are simply adorable. And the views from the restaurant are quite lovely. The beauty of this location is that you can use the Disney Skyliner to get to Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Rivera at Disney's Riviera Resort hotel and then to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

When you are ready to get to your advanced dining reservation at Chef Mickey's located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, check the theme park operating hours for the date of your visit. You may be able to take Walt Disney World Bus Transportation to Magic Kingdom and then walk or take the Walt Disney World Monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Note that bus transportation begins 45 minutes prior to park opening. Given the time of your breakfast reservation, you may need to use a ride share service like Lyft or Uber.

When deciding on your transportation, check the My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you enter Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, for example, you should be able to click on that location and then click on "Get Directions." Enter Chef Mickey's as the other location and you will see the Walt Disney World Transportation options and estimated transit times to that location. When I just searched for directions from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Chef Mickey's, the estimated transit time was 64 minutes.

Given the potential crowds and capacity limitations on Walt Disney World transportation at the time of your  visit, I would suggest that you give yourself at least an hour and a half to get to your breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey's. With a breakfast reservation at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, I would give yourself at least 45 minutes from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

Lindsay, we have started budgeting for a few rides via Lyft or Uber if we need quick and direct transportation because we are often rushing to get to early breakfast reservations. Before you go, be sure to check the operational updates prior to your visit. I am sending a little extra pixie dust hoping you make it to all of your breakfast reservations on time!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
