Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We are staying at Caribbean Beach from 9/22-26. I read in a travel book that this is the worst location for the transportation between parks, etc. If this is true, about how long should we allow to get from CB to Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Cathy:

    Some Resorts are closer to certain Parks than other Resorts.  With four Theme Parks, a Resort may be close to a Park or two, but that may also mean that the same Resort is much further away from one or two of the other Parks.  In my opinion, there are a few other Resorts that have similar and worse transportation reputations than Caribbean Beach, and hopefully, your experience will be positive.  Buses are scheduled to run every 20 minutes or less, so the timing of a commute between Caribbean Beach and Magic Kingdom will likely depend on your bus stop at the Resort and how long it takes for a bus to come.  In general, I would budget between 45 to 60 minutes to get from your Resort to Magic Kingdom.  I'm an early bird, so I tend to like getting places early.  Since there is so much to do and see at Disney World, arriving at a destination early never feels like a waste.
