We are staying at the caribbean beach in June. I have read some bad as well as good reviews. Could you tell me if the rooms are nice. We stayed at the Coronado before. I realize the pool is being refurbished. That is not a problem for us.

The rooms are nice for the price! Since you’ve stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort, the room layout at the Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) will be familiar to you. In fact, CBR has the largest rooms at 340 square feet compared to 314 square feet at the other moderates.

You’ll still have 2 double beds, unless you pay extra for a King bed room. We did this at Port Orleans French Quarter pre-parenthood.

You’ll enjoy double sinks (there’s only 1 at Coronado) in the vanity area with under-sink shelves for storage. I really appreciate both of those features. The actual bathroom (as at most WDW hotels) is small. The privacy curtains between the vanity area and bedroom are not only useful but help to soften up the room.

Request a corner room with two windows. The added natural light really helps to make the room feel larger. We almost always get granted this wish at the moderate resorts.

There was enough room to store my son’s toy bag, stroller and other kid items between his bed and the door. The closet area gave us room to store luggage and hang jackets.

This is a relaxing tropical oasis. Enjoy!
