We are staying at Caribbean Beach and we have 2 children ages 2 and 6. Plan to visit Magic Kingdom. I am concerned about the safety of the shuttle without a carseat for my 2 year old. It was suggested that we drive to a closer hotel and take a water taxi.

Hi Renah - I understand your concern.  We actually do take the buses and go without car seats, but I can understand if you are uncomfortable with that.

It sounds as though you'll have a car with you, so one option is to drive to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  Parking is free for Walt Disney World resort guests.  From there, you can either take a boat or the monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom.

If you plan to visit the other parks, you can also park right at the park.  Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios have parking lots right near the entrance.  While you may need to take a tram to the front entrance, you won't need to take a boat or monorail.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
