Howdy Karen!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! I grew up camping in RV's at Fort Wilderness with my family and now we love to tent camp with my own kids. In fact, I have a Disney countdown in progress for a camping trip coming up very soon.
The marinas and waterways at Walt Disney World are only for official Disney watercraft. If you are towing your boat, you can park the boat and trailer in the overflow parking lot at Fort Wilderness which is located near the front entrance. You will see many trailers, U-haul type storage trailers and extra vehicles parked in this area since parking at your campsite is limited.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend
reserving an electric golf cart for your stay at Fort Wilderness. This is a "must-do" for us each time as it becomes its own activity. Many campers decorate their campsites with lights, inflatables and more, so it's especially fun in the evening to take a drive around the various loops to check it all out. A credit card guarantee is required when reserving in advance and is not charged until the day before you check-in.
Head over to
Chip n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long which happens nightly at Fort Wilderness. Two fire pits are blazing for Guests to roast their ooey gooey marshmallows while listening to some campfire favorites. Chip n' Dale make their rounds to greet every Guest! S'mores kits and roasting sticks can be purchased at the Chuckwagon Snack Bar or you can bring your own.
Have a magical day!
