We are staying at the Cabins at Ft Wilderness the last week of January. Do the boats from the Wilderness Lodge & Contemp Resort run after 9pm or will we need to get a bus back to our cabin? We have dining reservations after 8pm.

Hi Robyn!

You will love your stay in the Fort Wilderness Cabins and January is such a great time. It is generally more quiet and the weather is so refreshing at that time of year. You might have cooler days and nights but for me it beats the heat and humidity of the summer.

The resort boats that run between the Fort and The Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge begin each day at 6:pm. This is earlier then the Magic Kingdom boats making it the perfect way to get to early dining. They will also run well into the evenings and you will be fine with your 8pm dining reservation in the evening. Once you arrive at the Fort Wilderness marina you will need to head over to the Pioneer Hall bus depot where the internal buses will run until 1 or 2 in the morning. That would be your best way back to the cabin.
