The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are so much fun to stay in. In fact, my family and I rent one the week of Christmas each year. It's like a down-home Christmas except for the fact that we aren't at home. I think you are really going to enjoy staying in one too, Jill.
The Cabins don't come standard with a highchair for the little one that you'll be traveling with, Jill. However, the resort does keep a few on hand for special requests. These requests are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. I would call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation hotline at (407) 939-1936 and have a Cast Member make a note on your account about the highchair request. Then, when you check-in, I would ask the Cast Member assisting you again just as a reminder.
If you don't want to risk not having a highchair, another option would be to bring one from home. This is going to be the only way to guarantee to have one. My daughter is a teenager now but I know there are some really great collapsable-packable options out there.
While you are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Jill, I highly encourage you to
rent a golf cart. You can rent one directly from The Fort. To do this you can call 407-WDW-PLAY. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are so many fun things to see and do while staying at the campground but everything is pretty spread out. A golf cart is the most convenient way to get around and certainly the most fun!
