Staying at Cabins of FW 2/15. Due to the size of the resort area I rented a golf cart. May I park it in the theme park bus/water taxi pick-up/drop-off area until I return for the day?

    Mary:

Thanks for coming to visit us here at the Moms Panel. I just left Fort  Wilderness and a wonderful vacation and can't wait until I return again in early 2015.

You are welcome to park your golf cart near the marina and then board one of the water launches for the Magic Kingdom or you can park your golf cart near the resort's Outpost bus stop while you head to the other three parks for the day. At both of these locations, you'll see the parking areas for golf carts. Parking is free and unlimited. With that said, keep in mind that all of the golf cart rentals look the same with most being painted hunter green. After a day in the park, you can forget not only where you parked your cart but also which cart is yours. There are numbers on the side and backs of the cart, so remember yours.

Let me also encourage you to try out the Disney bus transportation while you're at Fort Wilderness. The internal buses run very regularly and if you're simply using the golf cart to get you to the marina or the Outpost, renting for your entire stay may not be the best way to optimize its expense. You can rent the cart for just a day or two.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
