We are staying at the Cabins at Fort Willderness 7th to 23rd October 2011. How far are the bus stops from the cabins ? Also how long does it take to get from there to MK and Epcot by bus?

My family of six stayed at the Fort Wilderness cabins a couple of years ago.  I hope your family will enjoy your stay there as much as we enjoyed ours!  While we used private transportation, I can tell you that each cabin loop is within walking distance to the bus stops.  The specific proximity to the bus stop will vary with each cabin assignment, but worst case scenario, I would not anticipate it taking you longer than ten minutes to walk to the bus.  You can certainly request a cabin that is close to the bus stop.

Actual travel time to both Epcot and Magic Kingdom is about fifteen minutes (though you'll take the boat to Magic Kingdom, not the bus).  You'll want to allow additional time for the bus to arrive.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
