We will be staying in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness starting June 6, 2011. The Wilderness swimming pool will be closed for maintenance during this time. Won't this cause the Meadow pool to be overcrowded. Could we use pools at other Disney resorts?

    Hi Carl!

My family stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness over this past Mother’s Day weekend and we didn’t run into any over-crowding at the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool at all.  It was actually quite pleasant at the pool!  The line for the slide was never longer than 5 minutes, my son was able to swim like a fish without bumping into anyone and there were tons of empty lounge chairs.  Honestly, all the times I have ever been to the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, there hasn’t been more than 2 families there.  Most everyone goes to the Meadow Pool anyway.  This may be why they are refurbishing the Wilderness Pool, they might be adding  some enhancements to it.

As far as resort pool hopping, it is not allowed.  I’m confident you won’t have a problem while you are on vacation.

    Have a magical day!
