Hi Angela,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I just love
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – it is “glamping” at its finest, with fabulous amenities and a gorgeous natural setting.
While some of my favorite characters are Disney dogs (Pluto is the absolute cutest!), I’m right there with your daughter in that I suffer from allergies to most dog breeds. I recently had a Walt Disney World Resort vacation where my family stayed at two of the
dog-friendly resorts, and I had a wonderful experience. Disney designates certain floors or areas of the resorts (or, in the case of Fort Wilderness Resort, cabins) as dog-friendly, and then leaves the others dog-free to accommodate Guests with allergies or who prefer to stay away from furry friends. Simply call (407) 939-1936 to add a note to your reservation that you require a dog-free cabin and you should be all set.
Angela, enjoy your stay at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort! This Easter, my son and I visited the Tri-Circle-D Farm for a pony ride while my husband and daughter enjoyed
horseback riding through the resort's trails. While riding the bus through the campgrounds, we saw a sight that made our day: one of the campsites had a procession of life-sized Stormtroopers led by Darth Vader – all wearing bunny ears! The wonderful whimsy and fun around every corner makes Fort Wilderness a Guest favorite, and I hope you have the best trip ever.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
