Hi, We are staying in the cabins at Fort Wilderness in Sept 2012. Does the boat to Magic Kingdom stop at the Contemporary Resort Resort? We are planning the Chef Mickey character dinning. How long is the commute? Thanks.

    Hi Linda!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  There are two boats from Fort Wilderness:
    • A boat that just runs between Fort Wilderness and the Magic Kingdom
    • A boat that does a loop between Fort Wilderness, the Wilderness Lodge, and the Contemporary

You want the boat that does the loop, but it might stop at the Wilderness Lodge before going to the Contemporary.  The boat to the Contemporary takes about 15 to 20 minutes if it doesn't stop first at the Wilderness Lodge.

Another option is to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom and then just walk the 10 minute walk to the Contemporary.  Don't worry about needing a park ticket; you won't actually enter the Magic Kingdom.  The boat to the Magic Kingdom takes about 20 to 25 minutes.

I hope this helps!  Write back with more questions!
