Do those staying at the cabins of Fort Wilderness resort need to rent a car? I was about to book our next stay, until I noticed everything looks too far to walk. Are golf carts available to those staying in the cabins for the whole stay?

    Hello, Lisa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question concerning your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

OK...I have to tell you that my absolute FAVORITE place to stay at Walt Disney World is Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! My family LOVES every single thing about this property, especially the cabins! You are correct in noticing that this property is huge. It is so big that there is an internal bus system that can take you anywhere in the resort.

So, are you ready for some MAGICAL news?! I am very happy to inform you that you most certainly CAN rent golf carts for your resort transportation needs. In fact, my kids think renting a golf cart is the best ever! They do not want to stay anywhere else on Disney property because of the golf carts...no joke!

If you have other questions, please let us know. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
