We are staying at the Cabins in Fort Wilderness. Do you recommend making horseback riding reservations before we leave for WDW, or can we make reservations at check-in. Thank you

    Hi Jennifer!

You will soon be staying at one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World. The Fort Wilderness Cabins have long been a top option for resort lodging for my family. They love the space and peacefulness and privacy that they offer. They have all been recently refurbished and look amazing inside. Disney certainly listened to the guests requests for a better resort experience too.

Horseback riding at the Tri Circle D Ranch is certainly very convenient while staying in Fort Wilderness. The stables are located in the front of the resort next to the main bus depot. Although there are many times and days that the groups are not full I highly recommend reservations ahead of time. That does not mean you have to reserve months ahead but certainly don't wait until the day you wish to ride. As soon as you know your plans go ahead and get the reservation so you won't be disappointed.

Have fun and say hello to my friends the deer and turkeys!
