    Staying at cabins at fort wilderness nov 2020. What exactly is open at the resort? Is there anything restrictions on anything at resort like playgrounds or pools there? Thanks :)

    Welcome to planDisney!

    I am very happy to see that you have a trip booked for November!  Staying in a cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a great choice, and gives you some peaceful independence, while still making use of all that a Disney Resort hotel has to offer.  This is a very beautiful resort, located in the middle of a forest, alongside the tranquility of Bay Lake.   I am sure you'll also enjoy the convenience of having your own kitchen, giving you all the usual amenities such as a large fridge, dishwasher and countertop burners as well as a coffee maker, toaster and microwave.  We are experiencing an ever-changing situation, which means that some restrictions could be lifted, and others could be introduced, but I can give you the best available information as of today.

    Pools are open at most Disney Resort hotels, but are operating on a limited capacity,  Chairs are positioned so that social distancing can still be maintained poolside, and it is requested that guests do not move these.  Splashpads are currently closed.   Trails End Restaurant is temporarily unavailable, but there are other dining options - see updated details for individual restaurants here.   The much-loved walking trail to Disney's Wilderness Lodge is also temporarily closed, and the Resort boat connecting Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort with Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Contemporary Resort is not available at this time.  However, the relaxing 10-minute boat-ride that takes you to Magic Kingdom Park is available!  Hooray!

    During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.
