Hi Jennifer!
The
Fort Wilderness Cabins are a wonderful choice for the family that loves the outdoors, peacefulness, separate living and bedroom areas, and cooking. With the full kitchen in each one it makes preparing foods and meals easy which can often save money during a Disney vacation. They have all been recently refurbished with new kitchen appliances that include, refrigerator, cooktop, convection and microwave combo oven, and dishwasher.
When we book a cabin for a stay we like to use the grocery delivery service called Garden Grocer. You can find them on line at gardengrocer.com where you will see the very extensive list of the things they offer. You choose a delivery date and time and then the groceries are delivered to your cabin. If you are not there they will then make sure all perishable foods are stored properly in the freezer and refrigerator.
The
Meadow Trading Post which is centrally located among the RV sties also offers food items for delivery. This is a
Grocery List of what is offered. If you use the Meadow Trading Post they will deliver your order after 5pm on the day you check-in.
Whether you use an outside company or the Fort Wilderness Trading Post you will be pleased to be able to have groceries delivered to your cabin. I always love to share my "funny" food delivery story so you don't make the same mistake as I did. I arrived to my cabin on one vacation to find 10 pounds of bananas sitting all over the cabin when I thought I had ordered only 10 bananas! I was giving away bananas as fast as I could.
