We are going to be staying at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness and we will have a car. I was wondering if there is car parking by the boat docks or is it just golf cart parking?

Hi Rebecca! The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort have become a popular choice for many families coming to Walt Disney World for vacation. They are very private and offer such a peaceful setting to return to after busy park days.

While many guests do have cars and park them at their cabin the best way to get around the resort is to walk, use a golf cart, or the internal buses. Car parking is not available at all at the pool area or the Pioneer Hall and marina end of the resort. There is a large parking area for golf carts at the marina and also at the main bus depot at the front of the resort.

If you are thinking about using your car to get to the parks versus taking the bus I do recommend not driving to the Magic Kingdom park. If you take the boat from Fort Wilderness it will be much faster and so much easier as it drops you off immediately in front of the main park entrance. When driving to this park you will have to take a tram to either the ferry or monorail and then take either of these to the park entrance.

    Have a great Disney vacation!
