    Hi!! We are staying at the cabins in Fort Wilderness??? We will be bringing our 4yr & 7yr old. Is it neccessary to rent an electric cart??? Just wondering what kind of distance it is cabin to bus/boat? Do we need to reserve one before we get there?

    Hi Jennifer,

    My family stayed in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness last Fall. We only rented the electric cart for one day because I just couldn't justify the expense. Fort Wilderness is a very large area. However, there are Internal Shuttle buses that stop near the ends of all of the "Loops" that the Cabins are on (as well as many other places). You'll just need to walk a short distance to your closest bus stop. From there, the Internal Shuttle will bring you to either the boat launch or the other main bus stop where you get on a Park bus.

    If you decide you do want a cart, you can reserve one ahead of time or wait until you arrive to decide if you want one.
