    We are staying in the cabins a fort wilderness in August of 2018. My husband will have a scooter to get around with. Will he be able to take the scooter on the boat or are we limited to only use the bus service?

    Hi Bonnie!

    The Fort Wilderness Cabins are nestled among the pine trees of the Fort Wilderness Resort making them probably the most peaceful rooms on property. Many times you can wake up in the morning to see deer grazing right outside your windows.

    The transportation to the Magic Kingdom is by boat only from Fort Wilderness. The larger park boats will accommodate the Wheelchairs and ECV's and the person will not have to get off to get them on unless they prefer to do that. The smaller boats that connect the Fort with the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge Resorts cannot accept ECV's or wheelchairs and strollers unless they are folded completely.

    To reach the marina for the Magic Kingdom boat you would simply take the internal bus which again can accommodate the ECV's.

    Please be aware also that there are a number of handicap cabins where they can be entered via a long ramp. If you think this would be helpful be sure and get that on your reservation that you are requesting and reserving one for you summer of 2018 vacation.

    I am sitting outside our campsite now and enjoying the music of the Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong and loving the magic of this resort!
