Staying @ the Cabins 9/22-9/25 arriving in the afternoon. What should we do the first day, AK d2 Tuskers in am, HS d3 with Chef Mickey's at 430, MK d4 with Crystal palace at 935. I want to pick a good area @ the cabins and what else should I do there?

    Hi Leyla,

    Thanks for your question!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is an amazing, large, and impressive place.  I suggest you spend your day of arrival exploring the resort you'll be calling home for the next few days.  Take your son to the stables at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch to meet the horses and ponies who appear at Walt Disney World.  Did you know that they call Fort Wilderness home?  You could also take your son swimming at the Meadow Swimmin' Pool.  Take him for a boat ride over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to see the geyser erupt.  Make s'mores with Chip & Dale at their Campfire Sing-a-long and then enjoy a Disney movie under the stars or make reservations for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  There's a whole list of recreational options here.

The only problem with this plan, of course, is that once your son sees all that Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has to offer, it may be difficult to convince him to leave and explore the rest of Walt Disney World!

    Have fun!
