I am staying at a cabin in Ft Wilderness in 3 weeks. Having a renovated cabin with queen size bed will prevent a coin toss with husband to choose who will be sleeping in a bunk bed. Are all cabins updated yet? If not, what is best way to get one? Thanks

Hi Julie!  This past fall Disney was working fast and furious to try to get the refurbishment done by this spring. Their goal was to be done by March but we all know that things can happen to slow work down. At this time if they are not all done then most will be done.

I would do two things to help you get a cabin that has been refurbished. I would call the Disney reservation number, 407-939-1936, and ask that your request is put on the official reservation notes. Then I would also send a quick note requesting a refurbished cabin to Fort Wilderness via Fax, 407-824-3508. Try to check in as early in the day as possible even if your cabin likely will not be ready. You can go off to Disney Springs or one of the parks or even enjoy the Fort Wilderness resort while you wait but you have a better chance getting what you need by checking in early.

Check out all the information about the wonderful Disney cabins. Fort Wilderness is one of our favorite spots on property and we spend many weeks there with our two pets making it very magical.
