We will be staying at the Broadwalk for 3 nights and will have to change resorts for the 4th night. What is the best way to get to the Shades of green from the Broadwalk? Also, are any discounts given for the dinner shows?

    Hi Gail,

Thanks for your question.  I will suggest two possible ways to get from Disney's Boardwalk Inn to the Shades of Green Resort.

The most direct route would involve getting a taxi from the Boardwalk to Shades of Green.  Just let the cast members at the front of the Boardwalk know that you need a cab and they'll be able to get one for you almost instantly.  The advantage to this plan is that it will take very little time and you can load your luggage right into the taxi and it will travel with you.  The downside to this plan is that it will likely cost you between $10-15 for the cab fare.

The other alternative is to ask Bell Services at the Boardwalk to transfer your bags to Shades of Green.  They will be happy to do so, but it will likely take the better portion of the day for your bags to reach their new destination.  If you take this option, be sure to take with you anything you might need from your luggage for the day.  While the bags are making their way to Shades of Green, you can head to one of the theme parks via a Disney bus.  Then you can either enjoy the park for awhile or go directly to Shades of Green by taking the Shades of Green bus from that park.  Even if you include a gratuity for Bell Services, this is the less expensive way to reach your destination.

As for discounts for the dinner shows on property, I am unaware of any at present.  However, it would be worth checking with the Shades of Green Resort directly before you arrive to see what they might have available.  I suggest you call as soon as possible as the dinner shows may sell out.

Have an amazing trip to Walt Disney World, and please accept the gratitude of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel for your family's service to our country.
