Welcome back to planDisney Josie, and thank you for sharing your question with us! It sounds like you have a magical stay planned at
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, what a charming and beautifully themed resort to call home during your vacation! With its prime location and easy access to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you're perfectly situated to enjoy so much of the magic. I’d be happy to help you navigate how to get to Magic Kingdom from your resort so your park day can start off as smoothly as possible.
Getting to
Magic Kingdom is easy and convenient thanks to Disney’s complimentary
bus transportation. The bus stop is located just outside the resort’s main lobby entrance. When you're ready to head to the park, simply board the Magic Kingdom bus, which will take you directly to the entrance of Magic Kingdom, there’s no need to transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). This is a big time saver compared to guests arriving by car, who often have to park at the TTC and then take the monorail or ferry into the park.
Buses typically begin running about 45 minutes before the official park opening time and continue until about an hour after park closing. If you’re taking advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry (available to all Disney Resort hotel guests), rest assured that the buses begin early enough to get you there in time. The trip itself usually takes around 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic and how many guests are boarding.
You can check estimated bus arrival times on the digital screens at the BoardWalk bus stop or in the My Disney Experience app, which is super handy if you're trying to time your departure. Just open the app, tap the menu (☰), and select “Resort Hotel” to see upcoming transportation times for your location.
Josie, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
