We are staying at boardwalk villas on a timeshare exchange. We purchased our passes for our eight days. Are we able to use the free dining plan that is offered while we are visiting in sept.

    Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I think that you will find that Disney's BoardWalk Villas is a wonderful place to spend your vacation!  It is my home resort with Disney Vacation Club.  I love the hustle and bustle of Disney's BoardWalk, and the ability to walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios is wonderful.

The free Disney Dining Plan offer comes as a part of a package.  To take advantage of this, a guest needs to purchase a package through Disney.  The package includes paying for your accommodation with a traditional method such as cash or credit card.  Therefore, since you exchanged into Disney Vacation Club through a timeshare, you are not be eligible for the free Dining Plan offer.

I do have good news for you, though.  You can purchase a Disney Dining Plan through Disney Vacation Club if you like.  You can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800.  Simply explain that you exchanged in through your timeshare company and provide your reservation number.  The cast member can help you to add a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Kathryn.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
