Hi. We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas in July 2022. I was wondering what is the best way to get from the Boardwalk to both the Magic Kingdom for the day and to Ohana for an 8:40PM dinner?

    Welcome to planDisney, Terence!

Can you believe that you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks?  After all that planning (and waiting!), your visit is right around the corner –– you must be getting so excited!  As it just so happens, Disney's BoardWalk Villas is one of my favorite spots in all of Walt Disney World.  There's nothing I love more than feeling like I've been transported back in time as I stroll around the BoardWalk, plus, you can even walk directly to two Walt Disney World theme parks, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios (seriously, how cool is that?). I hope you enjoy this beautiful Resort as much as I do during your upcoming visit!

Since it sounds like you've got a full day of fun planned around Magic Kingdom Park and the Seven Seas Lagoon, let's talk transportation between these areas and your Resort.  To travel to Magic Kingdom, you'll be able to take a complimentary Resort bus directly from the BoardWalk bus stop to the park's entrance.  Then, if you're heading to your 'Ohana reservation straight from Magic Kingdom Park, you can either jump on the Monorail or take a water taxi over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  If you're planning to return to your hotel between your park day and dinner, you'll have the option to repeat the same process, or you can drive your own vehicle (if you have one) or take a taxi or rideshare, like the Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft.

In addition to getting to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you'll also want to give some thought to how you'll return to Disney's BoardWalk Villas after dinner.  Buses typically run from the Walt Disney World theme parks back to each Resort for about an hour after the park closes, so depending on what the park hours for Magic Kingdom, you may be able to jump back on the Monorail back to the park entrance and take the bus back to your Resort.  However, if the busses are no longer running once you've finished with dinner (or you'd simply like to return a little faster), I suggest taking a rideshare service or a taxi back to the BoardWalk.

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Terence.  I'm wishing you safe travels and lots of pixie-dusted adventures during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Amy
