Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ami!
Disney's BoardWalk Inn transports you to the turn-of-the-century filled with a whimsy carnival-like atmosphere, complete with a clown waterslide! You will just love all of the excitement that happens along the Boardwalk at night as it is a happening place! My favorite aspect of this Disney Resort hotel is that it is walking distance to Epcot’s International Gateway entrance. You are correct that some rooms have smaller balconies (my friend and
fellow panelist Linda likes to call them “the Queen’s Balcony” since it is the type of balcony that would fit only a queen waving down to her courtyard). However, there are some Water View Rooms with full balconies. If you complete online check-in, you should be able to make a request to have a “large balcony”. When my family stayed at Disney’s Beach Club Resort this summer, we requested a large balcony, as it has the smaller balconies as well. Boy were we surprised when we arrived and we had a room with a MASSIVE balcony. I mean, MASSIVE- it was 5 balconies worth in length! I can’t promise that you will have a similar experience and I am not even sure if these extra large balconies even exist at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, but making that request should be your first step. Once you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel, I suggest checking with your Lobby Concierge to see if you have been assigned a room that fits your request. If ever you did not, perhaps they can accommodate it at that time. Please keep in mind that these are requests and not guarantees, but I CAN guarantee that you will love your time at this Disney Resort hotel!
I hope this helps with your planning and that you have a magical vacation! Please come and visit us again real soon,
Jen
