We are staying at Boardwalk Inn. 2 questions: 1. What is the best mode of transportation to get to Magic Kingdom? 2.We have reservations at 7:20 am at Chef Mickey's. What is the best way to get there from Boardwalk Inn? Thanks!

Hi Tiffany!  Early morning transportation is probably the most tricky of all during your Disney vacation.  Disney will begin early morning buses to parks at 6:30am. These will be offered for those guests who have the early morning breakfast reservations at the parks or surrounding resorts.  I would strongly suggest you be at the bus stop area no later then 6:30am on the morning of your Chef Mickey date. Buses are supposed to come every 15-20 minutes and then the ride itself to the park might take just as long depending on other stops at resorts to pick up more guests.  When you enter the bus please tell the bus driver you are trying to get to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey at 7:20am.  You might be dropped off directly at the resort if it is possible. If not then take the short walk from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary and head to the 4th floor.

If you have waited for a bus and none appear to be arriving after a 15-20 minute time period you can call the Bus Operation Center at 407-824-7092 to see where the closest bus is and the timing.

Honestly, for my family we always take a cab for the early reservations. It is quicker and most likely will not cost more then about $12-$15 and you can get the entire family into a van cab. Have your resort valet call for one and if you need car seats you can request one with those as well. I vote taxi for a 7:20am time!
