Staying at the Boardwalk Inn 6/5/10-6/12/10. I would prefer not to walk miles to get to my room and I don't think I want to face the boardwalk due to noise concerns. Is there a specific area of the resort that I should request?

    Amy:

I have found that I get better results in my room choice if I tell Disney what I'm looking for rather than requesting a specific room or building. I have found that if I request a specific room and it is taken, Disney may not know why I specified that room and is left hanging--and I may be disappointed in my location.

If I were in your shoes, I'd add a request to your reservation that you want a quiet room with little walking so you'd like to be put by the elevator on an upper floor with a garden view. Disney will know why you're requesting a specific room and, if nothing is available, say, near the elevator, they'll know why and give you what they think is a quiet room, but not at the end of a hall.

Keep in mind that Disney tries their best to accommodate your requests, but cannot guarantee them.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
