Hi Moms. We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn in March 2010. Is taking the boat or walking to Epcot and then catching monorail to MK a good option or is it just easier to take a bus from our resort? Thanks!

    Hi Laurie,

While it is possible to walk to Epcot and take monorail to the Magic Kingdom, taking the bus from the Boardwalk would be a quicker route.  You'll enter Epcot in World Showcase.  Then you'll need to wall through Future World to the front of the park.  The monorail station is located just outside the gates.  You'll take one monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to a different monorail.

Traveling this way is great if you want to spend some time in Epcot before or after you visit the Magic Kingdom.  However, if your plans for the day only include Magic Kingdom, I would stick to bus transportation.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
