Hi Angie!
Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Ooooh, I love this question because it's kind of like a certain collegiate basketball competition that pits the amenities of the various
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels against each other in an ultimate showdown for your perfect vacation.
There are a few challenges present, as Disney's BoardWalk Inn is unique with it's proximity to Disney's BoardWalk promenade where you'll find shops, restaurants and nightlife. And while every Walt Disney World Resort Hotel has the ability to deliver a fresh pizza-pie to your resort hotel room, a full in-room menu of items that span a day's worth of meals is only found at Deluxe Resort Hotels and Villas. Ultimately I have two ideas:
~Disney's Wilderness Lodge. As a deluxe resort it will still offer a full all-day room service menu in addition to it's five on-site restaurants. And while it's not walking distance, you could hop on the boat that connects this resort hotel to the down-home cooking of Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground, or after another 5 minute ride you'll dock at Disney's Contemporary Resort with it's many dining and shopping options. Bonus - there is so much history and Disney lore in these walls that there is actually a wonderful one-hour guided tour of this resort hotel.
~Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This Moderate Resort Hotel has wonderful theming throughout it's grounds that carries over to the cajun and southern-inspired restaurants. Riverside is walking distance to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, where bonus you'll have pool privileges, and both are connected via a water taxi to Disney Springs with its many dining, shopping and nightlife options. Boats will come and go until 2 A.M. daily.
Remember - no matter what you decide, you're still at Walt Disney World Resort! We'll See You Real Soon, Angie!
