Greetings Andrea! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so happy you’ve stopped by to bring us your question!
Andrea, you are going to be pleasantly surprised when you see how absolutely beautiful the entire Walt Disney World Resort decks its halls for the most wonderful time of the year! From stunning Christmas lights strewn throughout, Cinderella Castle covered in lights shining bright, life-size gingerbread houses,
visiting the most magical place on earth during the holidays is extra magical! Last year, I visited Disney’s BoardWalk Resort during the holidays and there was a working life-size gingerbread carousel. It was a SIGHT! I don’t know if it will be there again this season, but I bet you will be delighted by the holiday cheer you’ll be surrounded by during your visit.
Staying at the Disney’s BoardWalk will also be such a treat, as you’ll be able to walk to Epcot and enjoy the Epcot® International Festival of the Holidays! This international yuletide celebration is included with your park entrance and it’s a must-do during your visit. You will be able to enjoy the different cultures and flavors of the holidays from around the world, and a personal favorite, the Candlelight Processional, a majestic event where a 50-piece orchestra and massive choir delight guests with traditional carols and the Christmas Story read by a celebrity narrator.
Andrea, if you arrive early enough you will be able to catch the tail-end of the Epcot festivities on the 30th, but after that, the special holiday celebrations will not be running. You will still be able to enjoy the decorations while there as those tend to stay up through the first week of January.
I hope you have a holly-jolly holiday during your vi.sit! Be sure to come back and see us with any additional questions about your visit. ~Emille
