Mom And Daughter Horseback Riding Excursion

    We will be staying at the Boardwalk in 2 2-bedroom villas (DVC) with our two daughters, their husbands and 5 children, ages 1-9. Staying close, what character dining and other dining do you recommend? What other resorts are close to Boardwalk? Thanks!

    Hi Kathryn,

    Disney's BoardWalk Villas is my Disney Vacation Club home resort, and I love it. I enjoy the extremely convenient access to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The resorts closest to the BoardWalk are Disney's Beach and Yacht Club Resorts, as well as the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts. All of these theme parks and resorts are in walking distance, or a short boat ride, from the BoardWalk.

    For nearby character dining, I recommend Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. The breakfast buffet offers you an opportunity to meet characters such as Minnie Mouse and Goofy in their beach attire. I also enjoy The Garden Grill at Epcot. This restaurant offers Chip 'n Dale's Harvest Feast for dinner. Some of the food at the Garden Grill is grown in the Land pavilion right there at Epcot, and it is fresh and delicious. Finally, you might try Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. At this restaurant, located in the Norway pavilion in Epcot, you can meet many Disney Princesses. Please be aware that at all character dining locations at Walt Disney World, characters are subject to change.

    As for non-character dining near the BoardWalk, you are asking about a topic close to my heart! My family enjoys a meal at Kouzzina by Cat Cora on the BoardWalk. Kouzzina offers delicious Mediterranean fare and is great for the whole family. We also enjoy Flying Fish Cafe on the BoardWalk. At Flying Fish Cafe, you can experience delicious seafood. Finally, I must recommend Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. This old-fashioned soda shop offers burgers, hot dogs, and most importantly, a wide array of delicious ice cream treats. My daughter asks to eat there for our first meal at Walt Disney World on a regular basis!
